On June 11, 2008, the Montefiore Institute said good-bye one last time to Hanna, Alberta and headed down the highway towards its future home at Heritage Park Historical Village in Calgary, Alberta. Photo courtesy of Shel Bercovich.
We hosted a small, private mezuzah ceremony. Here Rabbi Matusof attaches the mezuzah on the fron door of the Montefiore Institute.

The Little Synagogue on the Prairie Project was awarded a 2010 Lion Award in the Advocacy and Awareness category at a ceremony held on July 28, 2010 at the Water Centre. The Calgary Heritage Authority Lion Awards recognizes citizens and groups who have undertaken initiatives, of any scale, in support of heritage conservation in Calgary.
